Hardware Compatibility
AttoPOS works with a variety of payment terminals and receipt printers. We don't sell hardware directly - you can purchase compatible devices from the manufacturers or authorized resellers.
💳 Stripe Terminals
AttoPOS integrates seamlessly with Stripe's payment processing and terminal hardware. All Stripe terminals require a Stripe account and active payment processing.
🌍 Stripe Terminal BBPOS WisePad 3
Available in UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, EU countries, and other regions (NOT available in US)
Portable EMV and contactless card reader with display and PIN pad. Perfect for table service, delivery, and mobile businesses. The primary option for international merchants outside the US.
🇺🇸 Stripe Reader M2
US only
Compact countertop terminal with tap, chip, and swipe. Ideal for fixed checkout locations in the United States.
Other Stripe Terminal Options:
- Stripe Terminal S700 - Countertop terminal with 7" touchscreen display, built-in camera for QR codes, and premium customer experience. Check availability in your region.
Note: Purchase Stripe terminals directly from Stripe's device catalog. AttoPOS provides the software integration - you'll need your own Stripe account for payment processing.
🏪 Verifone Terminals
For merchants in Australia and New Zealand, AttoPOS supports Verifone terminals through local payment processors.
- VCloud (NZ only) - Wireless pairing with supported Verifone terminals via VCloud payment processing.
- Verifone PSDK (AU/NZ) - Network-connected Verifone terminals using the PSDK integration over LAN.
🖨️ Receipt Printers
AttoPOS supports standard ESC/POS thermal receipt printers over network connection.
- Epson TM Series - TM-T20, TM-T88, and other ESC/POS compatible models (58mm or 80mm paper)
- Other ESC/POS Printers - Bixolon, HPRT, Custom, Sewoo, and most standard thermal receipt printers
- Connection - Ethernet or Wi-Fi network connection required (same network as iPad)
💰 Cash Payments
AttoPOS fully supports cash-only operations with built-in cash drawer tracking, change calculation, and reporting.
⚙️ Setup Requirements
- iPad Requirements - AttoPOS runs on iPad 5th generation (2017) or newer with iOS 16+
- Network - All devices (iPad, terminal, printer) must be on the same Wi-Fi network/VLAN
- Internet - Required for Stripe payments and app updates (works offline for cash sales)
- Payment Processing - Active Stripe account or local processor account for card payments
